Corpus Christi St Vincent de Paul...
The St Vincent de Paul Society aspires to be recognised as a caring Catholic resource—offering a “Hand Up” to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope and encouraging them to take control of their destiny. Corpus Christi conference welcomes enquiries from parishioners who wish to know more about conference activities. Phone 0870 1548 for more information or assistance.
Dear members of the Corpus Christi family,
Thank you so much for your prayers and expressions of concern over the past months as my youngest brother, Rohan Mullins, battled cancer. Rohan died peacefully a few days after Christmas, aged 43. He was one of the world’s good guys. He was living in America with his young family and we had his funeral there. We will be having a memorial Mass at ST NICHOLAS OF MYRA THIS SUNDAY 5TH FEBRUARY AT 1:30PM. Anyone who knew and loved Rohan, or who knows and loves people who do, is most welcome to attend. Thank you again for your ongoing support of Greg, our family and me.

Diocesan Works Fund Appeal…
The first of three DWF appeals for this year will take place THIS WEEKEND, 4TH & 5TH FEBRUARY. Our Parish quota is $4207. Your donations to this pastoral appeal will support many ministries of the Catholic Church in the Parramatta Diocese. You may contribute by cash or credit card. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Call for Church Cleaners…
A couple of people have come off the current roster due to personal reasons. We thank them for their commitment and care over the past years. We are in need now for some volunteers to join the roster. It requires an hour of your time every 4 weeks on a Saturday morning. If you are able to join a cleaning team or would like more information, please contact he parish office. Thank You!!!
Liturgical Ministry Roster
An encouraging thanks to all people included in the Ministry Roster for your care and commitment to the community. Please note that it is really important that people arrive early and let the Adult Server know that they are present and/or if they are replacing someone. Having to replace people at the last minute delays Mass and sometimes hassles people to fill I when they don’t feel prepared. PLEASE… PLEASE… arrange replacements in advance whenever you are unable to make your rostered time.
With many thanks, The Parish Team.
Catechist Meeting
Our first meeting for catechists will take place this
THURSDAY 9TH FEBRUARY AT 10AM
in the parish office. This will be an opportunity to welcome our new catechists and to collect work books, etc for the new year. Look forward to seeing you.
Catechist News… Are you able to help???
The Catechist Team is currently in need of volunteers to teach in our government schools. If you can spare about an hour (including preparation time) each week during school terms and would like to find out more about being a teacher or helper please contact the Parish Office.
THE FIRST MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE AND
PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING FOR 2012 WILL
TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY 8TH FEBRUARY AT 7.30PM IN THE PARISH OFFICE.

“Faith in our Future”: Our Diocesan Pastoral Planning Process Has Begun!
Planning is an essential part of life, whether in our families, our work life, or in retirement. Planning allows us to reach our goals by making the most of our opportunities.

Bishop Anthony Fisher OP has initiated a process of pastoral planning for our future as a Diocese and invites you to share your faith and vision at an upcoming parish consultation session happening near you! Look out for more details about when and where this event is taking place.

The February edition of Catholic Outlook will feature a “Diocesan Information Guide” which provides an overview of our Diocese. Please read this, reflect on it, and pray about it. Then, bring your ideas and suggestions to the consultation session taking place near you in the coming weeks!
